Epoch 660 closed at 1.78 million transactions, and ADA is about $0.250

Monday on Cardano looks calmer in the price than Sunday was on the chain. Around 14:26 Central European time, CoinMarketCap had ADA at $0.250210 and CoinGecko at $0.249907. Both sources give about 1.04 percent more over 24 hours. The working figure is $0.2502. Market value did not match: CoinMarketCap has $9.21 billion, CoinGecko $9.39 billion. Those are two calculations, not two ADAs.

Bitcoin in the same hour is almost unchanged, about $83,110 and 0.05 percent below yesterday's reading. ADA stands at roughly 301 satoshis against it. Yesterday that was closer to 298. The gain of about 1 percent in the pair comes from ADA, not from Bitcoin.

Epoch 660 is closed

Koios, for epoch 660 and now as a finished epoch, gives 1,780,896 transactions in 21,243 blocks and fees of 337,720 ADA. Cexplorer today called that figure a record, above 1,566,974 from epoch 304. I did not pull the old number from the chain again today. The comparison is only as firm as that post, and today's total on Koios is finished, not an estimate mid epoch.

Epoch 661 opened last night at 23:44:51. By 14:26 it was about 12 percent complete, and it closes on Friday, 16 October, again at 23:44:51. Koios counts 104,742 transactions in it, in 2,596 blocks, with fees of 21,028 ADA. AdaStat in the same hour has 104,771 transactions and 2,885 pools. Stake disagrees too: AdaStat 21.40 billion ADA, Koios 21.26 billion. Different methods, the same chain.

The chain tip on Koios was at height 14,058,661, four thousand blocks above yesterday afternoon. The treasury stands at 1,378,258,310 ADA, about 3.6 million more at the epoch boundary. There is no treasury withdrawal in epoch 661. There are 857 DReps, with about 15.92 billion ADA of voting power.

DeFiLlama, on the newer methodology, the one worth comparing from day to day, gives $68.86 million, about 1.5 percent higher on the day. Their daily series runs $66.96 million on 10 October, $68.08 million on 11 October, $68.86 million today. The older methodology in the same hour says $69.35 million. The sum of individual protocols climbs higher still, but bridges are inside it, so I do not set it next to the chain.

Among protocols, Minswap is about $18.1 million, the Coinbase bridge about $14.4 million, Liqwid about $12.7 million, Dano about $6.8 million, Djed about $6.2 million, FluidTokens about $3.6 million.
