France is not law yet, and Ledger still ties the implant to one reseller

Cardano Daily
The day away from Cardano was again not about one price. It was about who has to declare a wallet, who touched the hardware, and who pushed a patch faster than the protocol usually allows.
France, still a proposal
Amendment I-CF821 asks for a declaration of self-custodied crypto from 100,000 euro up, with a cutoff on 31 December, and a fine of up to 10,000 euro if the declaration is not filed. The revenue section of the assembly rejected it by 31 votes to 3. The text goes to the plenary. It is not law. Alongside it, from yesterday's package, the amendments on a 31.4 percent stablecoin tax and an exit tax are still standing. They are not enacted law either.
Ledger, one shop
CryptoSlate and Kriptoteme report today that the implant is confirmed on at least one device and that the cases known so far are tied to the reseller CryptoBilis. Bitquery counts $93.2 million and 315 wallets. Specter stays above $86 million. Ledger has not confirmed that total. Genuine Check can miss the implant if the secure element was not touched. That is today's delta on yesterday's story, not a new case.
Jeonbuk Bank, according to crypto.news, becomes the first commercial bank in South Korea with a business loan in won against bitcoin held at an outside custodian. Enforcement rules apply from 1 October. One loan has been approved. The amount and the collateral ratio are not public.
A patch, sandwiches, three more lines
On the XRP Ledger, Cointelegraph writes that the network is defending an emergency patch from 25 September. That is, according to the piece, the first intentional bypass of the two week amendment process in more than ten years. The bug is an integer overflow from 2015. No abuse was found on the public networks.
CryptoSlate, for Solana from 30 October 2025 to 7 October 2026, counts 6.85 million sandwich attacks and a gross of about $29.7 million before costs. 96 percent of that lands on Pump.fun. The same day brings an estimate that fake payment addresses targeted about 4.5 million wallets. Those are two different jobs, both on the same network.
DATA Network is shutting its own chain, and the Sui Foundation is putting in $30 million. A migration date is not given, and two sources disagree on whether the figure is more than 270 million registrations or more than 250 million contributions. Thailand puts a framework for bitcoin and ether funds into force on 16 October, but there is no approved fund yet. In Hong Kong, Pando is announcing a second spot Solana ETF for tomorrow, 13 October.
